"In the beginning, God..."

Everything has a point of origin. In 2018 God opened a door for North Georgia Works! to begin its ministry. It took a lot of work, but as our slogan reads, this is "Where Work Works!"

7,000 boxes of records were being stored in this facility. 7,000 boxes needed to be cataloged, secured, and relocated. They were. Every document was safely transported to its new location within walking distance of the Hall County Courthouse; Main Street.

Now, with the facilities an empty shell, the work of restoration and renovation began. With teams from Free Chapel Worship Center and First Presbyterian Church, along with North Georgia Works! Board Members and Staff, the transformation took shape.

DON CARTER STATE PARK CAMPING TRIP MARCH 27-29, 2020

GIVING BACK TO THE COMMUNITY

Longstreet Cafe`, Tim Bunch, owner, has so graciously and generously donated evening meals to our men, that we wanted to return the love. Each Saturday morning our Trainees thoroughly sweep through the parking lots of each restaurant picking up the litter. Thank you Tim and Longstreet Cafe` for your continued love and support. God bless you!

1,002 Substance Abuse Screenings & "0" Failures
"Personal Responsibility." This banner is mounted high within our facility, but not too high for each of our trainees to reach within themselves. On Friday, April 17, 2020 these men proved not only what personal responsibility is, but also that they are daily willing to be held accountable to God, one another, staff, community, and to our Business Partners. This determination has lead to us being able to log a total of 1,002 Drug & Alcohol Screenings with 0 Failures!
This is quite an accomplishment, especially when one considers that it occurred in just nine (9) short months since the first North Georgia Works! trainee was enrolled.

To commemorate this great feat, we took a group photo and presented each trainee with a little token of appreciation.
These men have proven that they care. They care about their sobriety and their fellow trainees' sobriety.
Men, North Georgia Works! is very proud of you individually and corporately.
This is another area, "Where Work Works!"

East Corridor Renovation - Spring/Summer 2020

North Georgia Works! is making preparations for future growth. There are many unsheltered, able-bodied men in our area needing an opportunity to build structure and stability in their lives and we are preparing a place for them to do this.

NGW! 1st In-House Graduation
July 16, 2020

What a glorious night of celebration as Joshua David Broadwater became North Georgia Works! first graduate.
The presence of the Lord was powerful in our midst. Each speaker brought a strong word of encouragement challenging Joshua to continue to use the tools he has been taught and to seek the Lord with all of his heart.
